Rocken B's

Rocken B's burger company is a small restaurant near downtown Modesto. From what I have heard they are very good, let's find out for our selves.

Cleanliness: 4 Stars 

The restaurant is in very good condition for the location. The outside looks freshly painted, in fact the entire restaurant looks  clean with the exception of the windows, which someone carved into, but I can forgive that, as windows aren't cheap.

Customer Service: 5 stars

They where very kind, even when I apologized for changing my mind on my burger! 

Food Quality: 4 Stars 

The burger was very good, but it got a little messy. I understand that some people like messy burgers, but for me, it isn't something I enjoy.

Overall: 4 Stars

The food was good but not worthy of five stars, but the customer service was amazing!

Earl of sandwich

This is Stuart, coming from downtown Disney for a special review! This time we have "The Earl of Sandwich". As the name implies, this restaurant is a sandwich shop. 

Now I'm not so sure how true their claim to being related to the man who invented sandwiches is, but it's an interesting story. 

Customer service: 5 stars

This place is one of the places in downtown Disney that gives a DVC discount, and it was very fast. 

Food quality: 4 stars

Very good food, although not great. It was very filling but it had a so-so flavor. 

Cleanliness: 4 stars 

The resturant was very clean, but the tables design caused them to look a little dirty.

McDonald's

Now it has been a while since I've posted anything, and I have realized that even though I have mentioned it I have never written a formal review on McDonald's.

Cleanliness: 3 Stars 

The floor is sticky in some places and it is visually unappealing with a red tile that is in almost every location 

Customer service: 2 Stars

The cashiers are never paying attention the first time and you almost always have to repeat your order to them 

Food quality: 3

If this was the quantity section they would get a five out of five. But it's not. The saving grace of this place are their fries. Anyone I know will tell you that they love McDonald's fries

Overall: 2 1/2

The service is terrible and They need to rip out the red tiles but it is inexpensive and quite common so this fast food restaurant deserves a 2 1/2

5 Star Burger

Sorry for the lack of pictures in this post, I was caught without my phone.

Recently I mowed my grandfathers lawn and he took me out to lunch at a “hole-in-the-wall” converted Mexican restaurant that he thought I might like to do a post on, prepare for the horror story. Although it was an excellent burger.

Customer Service: 2 Stars

Now I am not hard to please in this respect but I was  Incredibly displeased by the fact that the line was out the door and they only had ONE CASH REGISTER! And the Bathrooms where on the other side of the BUILDING! WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT!

Food Quality: 4 Stars

This was the one place that I wasn’t SO disappointed the burgers where actually pretty good but the fries weren't so good

Cleanliness: 1 star

Why do you want to know what horrible sanitary issues this place had. well here I go.

the ceiling was missing a piece the bathrooms where disgusting and the floor was scary to step on.

Popeyes

Popeyes is a nice resturaunt that opened near me not to long ago. I have Finaly got the chance to visit them.

Cleanliness: 5 stars 

everything was perfectly clean so I have nothing to complain about there.

Customer service: 5 stars 

The cashiers where quick and you didn't hear "what is that again?" Pass their lips 

Food quality: 5 stars

I don't even like chicken and I am praising this place on their food. I am thoroughly impressed with them

I would highly suggest this resturaunt to anyone who is not a vegetarian with its all 5 star rating but remember that I hold fast food restaurants to a lower standard than I do sit down restaurants 

McDonalds fry seasoning

The worst experiance of my life. While you may not have tasted them before KEEP IT THAT WAY! The buffalo tasted like vinegar and the garlic was only slightly better. We didn't risk trying the ranch but I doubt that it was much better. 

How not to make peanut brittle

So this is a hilarious story about my cooking. So I was using this recipe

Then I realize that I don't have any peanuts! So I substatute peanuts for almonds and I put sugar and brown sugar and Karo syrup into a plastic bowl. Then I put it into the microwave for 4 minutes. I did two things wrong. 1 I didn't stir the mixture. 2 candy gets really hot when it melts. I ended up melting the bowl then when I went to clean the remains of the bowl the candy was dissolved by the water so it went down the drain. Then it must have re-solidified in the drain because the drain then clogged.
